Make do and mend!
From time to time designers may be asked to work to a specific brief. In the current economic climate, it is not uncommon for a designer to be asked to work with a fabric that has previously been purchased by a company and design specifically with this fabric in mind.
Your challenge is to
· Collect a fabric that has been provided for you
· Investigate the properties of the fabric
· Research, develop and design a minimum of 10 design ideas for a range of innovative products that make use of this fabric for the online site ‘not on the high street’
· Produce final designs for your products
· Manufacture your products – minimum of 3
· Take a picture of the product in a photo shoot setting suitable to be presented professionally
· Review the product – explain the good points and bad points and discuss areas for improvement
